Having some thoughts about the wedding.. My cousin reminded me how stressful it may be to buy the house and plan the wedding at the same time. Especially since the housing process is not instant. I am wondering if I should just find a nice restaurant/hotel to do it at. I am also having second thoughts as to the kind of food to have. It’d be super awesome to have heirloom la cater as we originally planned. But I wouldn’t mind having it a a nice steakhouse either. An outdoor brunch in a courtyard will be perfect. I thought of that when my friends And i dined at bouchons in beverly hills. I really liked the whole venue and atmosphere. I have then subsequently contacted bouchon’s event manager and put them down as one of my choices :).
Both Jason and I do not want to do a typical Asian seafood restaurant. But my Mother reminded me that since most of the guests in attendance will be family, it may be better to serve Chinese banquet food. If that is ultimately what we decide to do… I will be going all out !! I already have the restaurant in mind! It’ll be Seafood Harbour in Rosemead.. The best and most expensive :( oh it’ll also be for dinner instead of brunch.

I want to start planning for the wedding already … BUT if we’re doing it on our future property… we would need to acquire the property first before we do any planning :(!

What I do know:

Already contacted the caterer and they said SD is a doable drive.  

Jason’s new orders will bring him home Mid June 2012.

We would like it to be in September/October.

It will be either a brunch buffet or family style meal.

Most likely Saturday or Sunday Morning/Noon.

I want a rustic/vintage/garden theme.

     -Lanterns hanging across, Mason Jars with lit candles, baby’s breathe and stephanotis in slim white vases, long wooden tables for buffet, etc. 

It will be a short, small, and simple “ceremony” so I’m not sure if we should have a wedding party.  If yes, there will probably be only one maidofhonor(akawifey;D)/bestman.  But since it’s small.. maybe we’ll do it the intimate way and just have everyone stand for the quick ceremony and then head off to the dining tables???

I would like to rent lounge furniture and turn the inside of the house into a bar.
